Hello neighbors,
The heat has taken all the vim out of me so today I’m offering a few Eagle Rock news bites on the lighter side.
Microdose Comedy at the Fable got a nice write up in the Los Angeles Times as one of the best under-the-radar comedy nights in the greater LA area. The LA Times story is behind the paywall but Microdose maven Mike Bridenstine has a good screenshot on Instagram.
Local business Leanna Lin’s Wonderland has a Hello Kitty pumpkin spice thing and this seems important! There is other super cute stuff in their fall/holiday drops unboxing video. I haven’t made it down there yet guys, so please leave a Hello Kitty thing for me.
Eagle Rock High School standout athlete sisters Nylah and Cinzia Moore were highlighted recently in the LA Times sports section. Both are on the flag football team (Nylah is the quarterback) and play basketball.
Speaking of sports, this is the student-started petition at Change.org protesting the installation of an artificial turf field at Eagle Rock High School.
I’m looking forward to next week when the temperature will dip way, way down to the eighties. Ah, the eighties.

Once (2007) Bittersweet musical romantic drama set in Dublin stars Glen Hassard as a street busker and Markéta Irglová as a young Czech musician. Hassard died earlier this summer in a motorcycle accident. “Falling Slowly” won the Oscar for best original song. Vidiots, 7:30 p.m.
